Daddy coaching Fall Soccer!!!

This was Justin's first time head coaching Cooper's soccer team and Cooper's second year playing. Wow did he improve from the year before. It's funny to watch Justin coach his son and TRY not get frustrated with Cooper's seemingly lack of aggressiveness at times. Cooper is super coordinated just lacks the fight to get in there! So this year was very good for him, he was the older one of group and improved a ton!!! Great job COOP-DOG!

Cooper's Fall Field Trip to the Farm!!!

Cooper's first ride on a REAL bus. He was more excited about his trip on the bus then he was about going on a field trip. He begs to ride on the bus all the time but Mom and Dad drive him to school. Guess Mom and Dad ruin ALL the fun ;)

I don't remember what the name of the farm was, but they had lots of fun things for the kids to do and they had a blast. Face painting, pumpkin picking, nature walk, hay ride, horse riding, stick horse relays, a bin full of corn, marshmellow roasting, and my favorite activity to watch was the dancing. It was hilarious to watch. Cooper is sort of a social bug at school and he was in the center dancing with all these girls around. Too cute was this field trip, I am glad I got to go to this one. They grow up way too fast!

Steele's Fall Field Trip to a Farm!!!

Steele had a field trip with his pre-school to a very fun farm. Here is a picture of Steele and Kennedy painting away. Ok, so these are 3 and 4 year olds painting with what you would assume is washable paint right? Negative, permanent!!! Who gives 3 and 4 year olds permanent paint SERIOUSLY!!!

Gainsco Show Car Event!!

Justin had to do a Show Car Event with his company Gainsco for some of the agencies he markets to. It helps the agent boost sales, and helps Gainsco market their brand of Insurance. Well they were finally doing an event close enough for me to bring the boys to. Justin knew they would be so excited to check out the Gainsco replica Grand AM series race car. Justin was right they were in little boy heaven. Especially Steele, he has a love for cars like no 3 year old known to man. We could not get him out of it. Finally when it was time to pack up the race car he would not leave until he saw the car go into it's trailer and the door shut. Then he said, "Ok lightening has to go to sleep now." So cute. He has probably watched the movie cars one too many times! Haha! Weird, we are not yet sure where he gets his love of cars seeing that Justin and I both do not know a whole lot about cars. I guess as he gets older he will just have to teach us. I LOVE my boys!!!

I think this is the third Cars DVD Steele has had. Somehow he literally loves them to DEATH!

His face is priceless. I love when they love something as much as he LOVES cars! We love our Steele. Happy Birthday!!!

Cooper's First Day of School!!!

So cute story, we were walking into school on Cooper's first day. As we walked through the front entrance I noticed that Cooper's backpack was on one shoulder. It is a rather big backpack so I said, "Coop your backpack is going to fall off you better put it on both shoulders." Cooper put it back on both shoulders and we proceeded to walk. I look back over at Cooper and notice that it is back on one shoulder, again. I decided to watch him for a minute and I notice that he is intently watching the older fourth and fifth grades quickly walking around us. As I look up at the kids they are all wearing there backpacks on one shoulder. I had to laugh. I said to Cooper, "Do you not want to wear your backpack on both shoulders?" He said, "No Mom, look at the big kids your supposed to wear it on one shoulder." I guess fashion starts at age 5. Who knew???

Cooper was sooo excited to start school. He started Kindergarten at a great local elementary school. It was kind of neat for Justin because that is the same elementary school that he attended. It was sad for me to watch my little man be a big boy and walk into school.

This is his teacher Miss Jett. This is her second year teaching so she is full of energy and love for our Cooper. She graduated from Clemson. Cooper every now and again comes home from school singing the Clemson fight song. He says she teaches it sometimes at school. This makes me laugh because Cooper then tells Dad don't worry I love BYU the most!

Last stop before our trip back to SC!!

My mom promised the boys a trip to Rain Forest Cafe. So Downtown San Francisco we went on our way to the airport. They both of course LOVED it. Cooper was completely fascinated by the animals and didn't want to leave. Not surprising seeing that his favorite channel is Animal Planet!!!
Papa gave Cooper a dollar to give to the silver man for a picture with him. As you can see by the look of this picture Cooper was not so sure about this man and was ready for his escape.

Gotta love some Santa Cruz!!!

It's been a while since I have blogged. My last post promised some Santa Cruz pictures from our visit with my parents last summer. So many, many months later here they are. It was a beautiful day and the water of course was freezing just as I remembered growing up, but that did not hinder my boys they loved it. Lots of fun things to do in Santa Cruz, glad my dad suggested it. I forgot how much fun it was as a kid...

Or as an adult!!!

My Dad and Justin had a great time on this Merry-Go-Round. They would race the kids for an outside horse so that they could grab a ring out of the dispenser and try to throw it into the clowns mouth. If you were really fast you could grab two rings on every pass. Of course everything is a competition with men. Haha!

Here's my dad taking a throw at the "Speed Pitch" game. He talked Justin into a few throws too. I don't think I ever remember in my life seeing this game anywhere and my dad not having to try it out. Though I do have to admit each time I see my dad pitch, his number isn't quite what I remembered. LOL!

This last picture is proof that time takes a toll on your body. See if you can find the ball in this picture. I laughed so hard after my dad threw it, I had to take a picture of it. To his credit, it was his warm up pitch.

Always have so much fun with Nana and Papa!!! The time always flies by way too quickly. Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun time EVERYtime!

The best part of the trip for me was the feelin' of guiltless relaxation. My mom and dad are great. They take care of the BEST food, GREAT entertainment, and all we have to do is enjoy!!! It's the best vacation I LOVE IT!!! Thanks mom and dad, we love you...

On the Fourth of July there is always fireworks over the lake. It is beautiful to watch and see the reflection on the water from the boat. The most priceless moment was when Cooper was sitting in the front of the boat watching the fireworks and said "Dad I hope I never forget this night." He had the biggest smile ever!!! I hope Justin and I never forget that night either that was truly precious.

Cooper was dying to ride the banana so Aunt Shavonne agreed to take him for a ride...which he LOVED.

Cooper my (sometimes) fearless child!!! He was crazy on that houseboat slide. He went off every direction he could try...brave lil' man his momma won't try that!

This was great insurance, taking the kids with us on this tube ride... I know my dad wouldn't go to crazy with the babies on our laps.

It was a great trip. Wrapping it up here soon is sad... I will miss my family! :( I have more pics to post from the beach trip to Santa Cruz so hopefully thoughs will be soon to come.

Steele had enough of this "trying to roll the ball" stuff. Everytime he would roll the ball it would come back. He would get SOOoo frusterated so he decided to take matters into his own hands. He was determined and next thing I knew he was under the cage. It was hilarious. Then Justin found himself saying "Steele put the ball in that hole, that one gets more points." Of course it didn't matter much Steele did whatever "Steele" was going to do.

Carolina Ice Palace!!!

Well Cooper was begging for something to do on Saturday so we decided to take him ice skating. I elected myself to sit with Steele so that meant Justin was out on the ice with Cooper. Honestly as I am getting older I am starting to think in the back of my head about falling and actually hurting myself. Funny, while in younger years I had skated from time to time and that thought never entered my mind. Well... only one time around for Justin and his ankles had enough. I should have went, I forgot about his ankle troubles. We thought for sure Cooper wouldn't skate without someone with him but he suprised us once again. He took off and skated for an hour by himself. You can see the great time he had by his face in these pictures, just like the good old saying "a picture says a thousand words."

Gettin' ready for the BIG game!!!

The BIG day is here! Justin and the boys have all their BYU gear on and are ready to watch the game over at Justin's sister Jada's house. They are using a projector on the wall in one room and have a big screen in another to accomadate all the 45 or 50 BYU fans we have around, ok and maybe a few Ute fans. We are hoping they will pull through and we won't be disappointed! Go Cougars!!!

Nana came to visit!!!

My mom came to visit. Of course never long enough but we cherish every moment we have. Nana was here for about a week. Justin has been gone a lot with his job lately and so no better excuse to have the wonderful help of my mom. That meant she would be here for my Birthday even BETTER! Everything seems to go so smooth and my life seems to be so organized when she is here. I love it. Justin got back from one of his business trips and got to spend some time too, it was perfect. While Nana was here we went to Target and Steele was obsessed with the Christmas tree section. So my mom asked if I would like her help setting up my tree? I know what you are thinking too early. I couldn't pass up on the offer she is so good at decorating and I wouldn't have to do it by myself in a few weeks. I thought great idea mom and of course Steele loves it, he just keeps saying "Christmas Nana look!" Thanks MOM! Sorry Summer I know you wanted mom's help with yours! Guess I lucked out! We miss NANA!

Here is Steele with Daddy's new company car? He to say the least is obsessed with Disney's "Cars" and loves Lightning! Well he thinks dad's car is the real deal and is mad whenever he can't ride in it! He even has to say goodnight to "lightning" every night. It is very cute his little obsession!

Trip to Home Depot!

Well yesterday the boys went with us to Home Depot. We needed a few things for the house and since Justin is gone a lot lately with his job I took him up on the offer when he asked Saturday morning if I wanted to go. Well this lady kept asking me if I wanted aprons and I kept saying no we're ok. Thinking she wanted me to buy an apron which I had no idea why she thought I would want one, I was totally confused? As you can see I am not an avid Home Depot Saturday shopper and had no idea they have these little "FREE" aprons for kids on Saturdays and projects they give you to take home. Cooper was fascinated!!! Immediately putting on the apron while still in the store and proceding to act like an employee and tell us and other "real" home depot employee's where things were in the store. He gets so serious when he is playing a role. Everybody that walked by was laughing he was too cute!!! What a funny trip.

Costume Fun!!!

Well this year picking costumes was easy, I thought! Cooper insisted on being Batman and we already had that costume so I was like SWEET! And mommy wanted Steele to be a cowboy riding a horse. Well that didn't go over as easily as I had hoped. Steele hated it. He yelled the entire time "OFF" and "I don't wike it." Well ya can't win um all! At least I was able to sneak in a few pictures in the first moments he had it on!

Cooper's 2nd Soccer Game!!!

The boys getting coached by Wes. Cooper will never call him Wes when it is soccer time he gets real serious about game time and will only call him coach! So funny.

Here is Tristan, Jackson and Sully waiting for there turn on the bench. I love this age, the attention span is so short doesn't take long and there finding something else to do.

Cooper was feeling pretty good about his second game. He even gave the thumbs up. My brothers never played soccer so this is a new experience for mom to learn the game. At this age there is not much to learn, 4 on 4, no goalies, apparently no out of bounds, and kind of a free for all. It is so hilarious to watch and so cute. All but one little boy on the team is in our ward so they are all buddies and they have so much fun.

Its Football Season!!! Cooper knows when it's football season he senses his dad being glued to the Cougar board and seeing how the Dolphins might shape out this year! So what does Cooper do? His football gear is on everyday now. Running plays through the house and making sound effects. He crosses his eyes because he thinks he looks more mean or something? And always making little brother the "bad team" as Cooper calls it. Poor Steele, he going to be tough as nails!!! Go Cougars!!!
